Внеклассное мероприятие по английскому языку: "The best travelers".

Тип урока: обобщение и закрепление знаний по теме “Путешествие”.

Цели урока:

1.Совершенствование лексических навыков по темам “Путешествие”.

2. Расширение кругозора учащихся.

Задачи:

Обучающие

  • обучение грамотности,

  • культуре общения,

  • умению понимать английскую речь

Воспитательные

  • воспитание уважения к культуре страны изучаемого языка,

  • умению работать в команде

Развивающие

  • развитие логического мышления, воображения, памяти,

  • формирование мотивации к изучению английского языка

Образовательные

  • тренировка в говорении, совершенствование техники чтения и умения пользоваться дополнительной литературой,

  • активизация употребления страноведческой лексики в устной и письменной речи

  • практика в оформлении минипроекта с использованием компьютерных технологий

Средства обучения и оборудования

  • компьютер

  • мультимедийный проектор

  • магнитофон, аудиозапись

  • презентации в Power Point, Windows Media.

Предварительная подготовка

    • флажки всех стран,

    • стенгазеты о Великобритании (Лондон, Шотландия, Уэльс, Северная Ирландия), Австралии, США.

Режим работы: фронтальный

Ход урока


1.Организационный момент.

(Приветствие, сообщение о теме и характере работы на данном уроке)
Teacher 1: Good afternoon, we are glad to see you. Let’s begin our lesson. We have a very unusual lesson today. We will travel to Great Britain, Australia and USA. These countries with unique culture and history. If we want to visit these countries we must know English well and work hard at school. Learning English is very important nowadays. Do you agree with me?

Student 1: Yes, I do. I learn English because it is the language of new technologies and computers. Certain modern professions require a good knowledge of English.

Student 2: I learn English, because I understand that I can use it. For example, If I go to England I will be able to speak English there. If I go to the USA I will speak English too. English is used not only in England but also in other parts of the world.

Student 3: I learn English because I want to read foreign literature in the original. I know and like such English and American writers as Charles Dickens, Mark Twain, Lewis Carroll and others. I understand that I must learn English. If I know English well I will be able to go to the library and take books by English and American writers in the original.

Student 4: I like to travel. But it is difficult to visit countries, when you don’t know the language of these countries, where I am going to it will be easy to travel there. If I want to ask something I can do it in English.

Student 5: I like to read books. And I like to read newspapers too. If I know, for example, English I will be able to read English newspapers and magazines. Knowledge of foreign languages helps young people of different countries to understand each other, to develop friendship among them.

Student 6: There are a lot of films in foreign languages. If you know them, you can understand films without any help.

Teacher 2: Thank you, if we learn English we should know all about the country. We know that Great Britain consists of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. By the way, do you know what their capitals are?

Student 1: Their capitals are: London, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Belfast.
Teacher 1: And now we are talking about Great Britain, its climate, main industries, political system and Scotland with its beautiful landscape. Cykanova Elena (6 form) prepared a very nice presentation about the UK. Let’s start! All the rest listen to her very attentively and be ready to answer the questions given to you.

Teacher 1: Thank you, all this is worth visiting but I advise you to go to Scotland, the land of legends and beautiful lakes. Our girls prepared a very nice presentation about Scotland: Rakova Irina, Sas Anastasiya.
